Imagine you were on fire and you wished that the clothes didn’t catch on fire.
Do you want to know how to make clothes fireproof? First you get aluminum sulfate and add water to it. It is better if you use hot water so it can dissolve the aluminum sulfate. Use 1 ounce of aluminum sulfate and 500 grams of water. Mix up the solutions and then dip the cloth you wish to be fireproof in the mixture.
Then you dry the cloth well. When the cloth is well dried you will notice that the cloth is stiffer than usual. Burn the cloth you dipped in the mixture and you will notice after 30 sec it will barely catch a flame. That will buy you time to stop, drop, and roll. Or... take the consequences.

How To Make Friends
By Shamarie Cisneros
I did a story on how to make friends for those of you that are new to Camino Real Middle School or are really shy. I intervewied a lots of people: one vice principal, councilors, teachers, and a couple of students.
Mrs. Paulson said that if you want to make friends, you should join clubs, be yourself and smile. Mrs Kingery said to find other interests that you have in common with people. Anthony Willaims said to pretend to like people and they will like you back. All kids are worried about the way people look at them. Just help them out and put yourself in their shoes.
A good club to join is Mesa. You can try out for basketball or tennis. You can join battle of the books at the library. Leticia Lopez was new here. She said it was scary. Then it was totally fine. All the new people need to do is go for it. It will be fine.
Most important though is not to try to fit into a group just because you don't have friends right now. Friends are important so choose them carefully. Don't change yourself just to fit in. You are probably really cool just as you are.

How To Get Good Grades
by Brittany Fitzgerald
Good grades rock. They will affect us later on and are very important to kids and parents. They mostly affect kids later but it depends if you have good grades or bad grades. Bad grades will really affect you later. You probably won't be able to get a scholarship in college. You might have to work in a fast food place for the rest of your life!
Getting good grades doesn't have to be too hard. Mrs. Kingery says that to get good grades, students should come prepared to school, pay attention in class, and ask questions. Alicia Gomez says it's important to turn in your work, even if it's not all the way done because even a 50% is better than a zero. And finally, Mr. Cabrera says that you need to come to school prepared to do your work.
Students should care about their grades now because they could stay back in that grade at the end of the year. Most importantly, realize that teachers are not there to make fun of you, nor are they out to get you. They really want to help you accomplish your dreams and be happy. All they ask is that you behave in class so other kids have a chance to accomplish their dreams too.
Grades are important to me because I want to go to college and get a degree. If you want to have a good job and get a good education, follow everyone's advice above to get good grades.
